Today I’m going to talk about the concept behind Carolina International Group branding, which I dare to say that was a collab with one of its owners Fred Carney.
When Anna (his partner) called me, she was nervous because she had “hired” those website online company logo marketplace and they sent her tons of options. None worth it.
Most were everything that we already have seen before, with little houses in a landscape.
I knew they wanted something different and classy, so I thought that they needed a modern and out-of-box logo. My first sketches were around the company initials “CIG” and play with the idea of international-worldwide company plus real estate iconic icons.
Both Anna and Fred are good friend of mine and I opened an exception by making the design with him sitting right next to me.
On the next day, when Fred came to my house, one of my sketches called his attention and I started to work on the Illustrator right away… We did some slight changes and tested colors and textures until we got our final logo. On the same day. Man, that was fast LOL!
We were very happy with the result and it didn’t take much to Anna like it too.
